TOP 10 THINGS TO DO IN LAKE NORMAN, NC
As the cooler weather approaches it’s a great time to get the family together and enjoy some activities the Lake Norman area has to offer.
Included on my list are some great fall festivals, seasonal activities and others are open all year long.
1. Renaissance Festival- This is a favorite. So much entertainment for one price. If you have never attended make time to, you will absolutely enjoy a leap back in time. Great food and fun for all the whole family.
2. Scarowinds- Carowinds Amusement Park transforms into a Halloween Haunt. This is great for adults and older children. I personally can’t bring myself to go but my 14 year old son loves it.
3. Lazy 5 Ranch-Drive through safari or take a horse drawn hay ride. Purchase food and hand feed many different kinds of animals. Great fun for younger kids.
4. NC Auto Racing Hall of Fame- For all the race fans out there. Check out the hall of fame and visit some local race shops also located in the race park in Mooresville.
5. Queens Landing- Take a cruise on Lake Norman or stay on land and enjoy a local band play in the outdoor band shelter. Queens Landing also host a Dueling Piano Bar for the 21 and older crowd.

7. Attend a Panthers Home game- Support our local football team. Go Panthers!
8. Indoor Kart Racing, Laser Tag and Arcade- If speed is your thing this is it. Stay dry on those rainy days and visit The Pit in Mooresville.
9. Lake Norman State Park- Located in the north end of Lake Norman this park has the only swimming beach on the lake. Lake Norman State Park also boasts hiking trails, fishing, camping, and picnic areas.

There are many more activities. These are just some of my favorites. Get out there and have fun. Enjoy what our beautiful area has to offer.
Buying a home that has been foreclosed can be a great investment. In most cases the home buyer of a foreclosed home will have instant equity. Foreclosure happens when a home owner is unable to make their mortgage payments. The bank evicts the home owners and takes possession of the home. In today's real estate market foreclosed properties provide an opportunity for people to purchase properties that in the past were out of their price range. The banks price these homes so they sell quickly. The longer a foreclosed property is on the market the more it cost the bank.Buying a foreclosed home is not much different from buying a home from a home owner. There are usually a few more papers to complete, but with a good buyers agent this will not be difficult. In my experience the banks want to sell the home so when a ready, willing and able buyer comes along with a solid offer the transaction moves along quite smoothly. In the past most foreclosed homes were in need of TLC. In our current market there are homes that are move in ready or need very little work.
Our current economy has created many opportunities for first time home buyers, empty nesters and moving up buyers.
